I'm Heather Ebanks I'm a graphic designer and I started this podcast, Creatively Eccentric, to connect with artists, designers and entrepreneurs who live a little differently, think a little bigger and who want to shake up the industry.

You can actually do anything if you put your mind to it and you get yourself in that mode of this is what I want to do. You can do it. Like if I can do it, I feel like anyone can do it. I'm just a regular person who was able to, you know, set my mind onto something and something that was always in me, but I was always steered kind of away from by other people.

But know, 40 years on, I've come back and decided this is what I want to do.

I think you need to, as a creative, you need to take on criticism and you need to be guided as well. In the media industry there really isn't as many mentors. We just need more of those sort of people. So now I'm very much like I'm going to be a mentor to my children whether they like it or not.
